Monday was quite a long day. I got up and went to class, almost late, but due to my mad Vegas driving skills I was still on time. 😎Between classes when I had my three hour break, Carrin, Mariah, and I took Haiden to the vet to get the last of his kitten shots. He is such a cuddle bug. We had him on the leash and harness, he's so stinking cute. That night I got to conference call my family as they were all in seperate places during the time of when I needed to call.

Tuesday
Today was the long awaited day of Cheer Tryouts, it was pretty much all I could think about all day. Classes went well, and Dr Oswalt offically became the coolest college professer when he whipped out a light saber as a form of pointing at the slids on the large projector. The tryouts for the day was just the clinic, where we woudl be learning the cheer, chant, and fight song. Coach also wnated to see where we would be in stunting as far as basing or flying, as she was assigning us to different spots to try, she was telling everyone in front of me to try flying, I was TERRIFIED that she would ask me to be a flyer. When she got to me she told me to try basing. PHEW! I did really well at basing and actually really enjoyed it.

Wednesday was another day where all I could think about was tryouts. The fight song was simple enough but yet at a fast pace which made it a little hard to follow. When tryouts finally came along I was the first one to go in, I guess this would be a negative side to the Elevated Ethics of "going first" but then I ended up having about an hour to chill and not worry about tryouts, so thats a positive. I did REALLY good on my toe touch jump, I shocked myself! The cheer and chant I did pretty good on, the fight song, that whole thing is a blur! I hardly remember a thing! I'm not quite sure if that is a good or bad thing XD After everyone else had gone in and tried out we were told to hang out in the ICI Lobby and they would post the results at around 7:20. 7:30 rolls around, still no results. 7:45 still nothing, finally at 8:00 the results were posted and I was in! I made the team!! We immediatly went back in to the gym and had a manditory team meeting for all the newbies. We got all the information we would need for the year. After this meeting my fellow newbies and I went to the buffet and got some food and celebrated together! I am really looking foward to this year with them!
Thursday was the first offical day of practice which ment waking up and being at the school at 6:00 in the morning. I was very tired but very excited to be there. Practice went well, coach of course put me on as a base (which I honestly believe to be the main reason why I made the team because I picked up on the technique so fast). We did a lot of workouts that left me super sore. I had worked out like that since Nationals for Dance team! We then all went on got chickfila for breakfast on campus and just got to know each other a little better. After wards I had a counciling meeting so I went to that and they had those little mini zen gardens but the sand was everywhere! So I cleaned that up (Shoutout to my mama for giving me some OCD traits ;) ) After my meeting I went over to finsih off my classes in the COAS (College of Arts and Sciences and my personal favorite building) When it came time for my Lab, I was super excited, I enjoy that class(?) and how loose it is, we can talk about anything really. Most of the time we have insense discussions on Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Star Trek, sometimes Lord of the Rings. Much nerdiness, I love it. After my classes I went and did my weights for cheer and then had institute class! I was so excited for institute class. I hadn't been since moving out here so it was great to just be in the church and study scriptures. My church attendance since being out here has been less than desirable so when I got there, I felt the spirit, so strongly. I had to fight back tears (because I was already late and didn't want to make a bigger scene, not on the first day lol) we had a great discussion that really helped me with some things that I've been struggling with. I was able to sleep really well that night.

Today was my mom's birthday! So this weeks shoutout obvisouly belongs to her! I miss here everyday and can't wait to hug her again! Other than my mom;s birthday, it was an otherwise chill day. I tried studying for chemistry, to no avail nothing makes sense in that class. But then, there was rain like walked out of my chemistry class and just rain, everywhere, just an hour before there wasn't a cloud in the sky! Welcome to Florida. So I chilled in COAS till the rain stopped then as soon as there was a break in the rain, I litterally ran across campus to my car just in time for the rain to pick back up! lol
Like most saturdays, nothing much happened this day, which was not a bad thing at all! I enjoyed the relaxation. My pappy called and told me that he had sent me a package so I looked outside and sure enough there was a package there with my name. I was so happy with what I found! Two family size packages of Oreos and a big box of fruit snacks! YUM I am very well taken care of, thank you Pappy! I also video chatted with my mom and talked for at least an hour. It was a great way to end my Saturday.
This Sunday was crazy! for the first time ever, I sang in sacrament meeting, on my second sunday in a new branch! Thursday evening at Institute this cute little couple that recently got married in the YSA somehow talked me into singing on sunday. We sang I love to see the temple because the Temple President and his wife were there to speak to us. Our temple president spoke about the importance of temple marriage and kept making jokes about temple marrage and the YSA about how everyone was squirming in their seats whenever he said "temple marrage" lol Once I got home, Aunt Carrin and I went to St Augustine and walked the shops. It was nice to get out of Daytona and Ormond and be away from my studies for a few hours, On the drive home we came around this one turn and were face to face with the sun, you think I'm joking but I'm not, the sun was HUGE and Orange and beautiful!! No one was behind us so we stopped the car right there in the middle of the road and took pictures, of the phone cameras don't do it justice but you'll just have to trust me when I say that it was amazing and words cannot discribe it <3
